Skills Assessment for the Staff Level

Class Description:
The Skills Assessment for the Staff Level course is 12 week web-based course.

The 1st 8 weeks is a self-assessment process that requires participants to uncover, identify, clarify and define critical information to help guide the individual and the organization in synchronizing plans for integrating the career needs of the individual with the business needs of the organization.

The remaining 4 weeks is to teach the staff person who will be facilitating the process to their client companies how to guide the process.

Participants will analyze their past successes to look for the patterns and themes that define success for them through examination of their skills, talents, motivators, needs, values, personal & professional goals, interests, experiences, exposures, former & informal education, natural resources and developmental gaps.

Participants are taught to operate as a careerpreneur viewing self as both a high-ticket product to be sold AND the company that sells it. The employees’ chances for career growth increases as they work more closely with their manager to match their talents with the needs of their organization.

Reality checks will be ongoing with exercises, worksheets, research and practical reading material.

The major message of the Staff Level course is for participants to surface and collect all this information so that by bringing it to CONSCIOUS AWARENESS, they can see the CHOICES they have as they take PERSONAL CONTROL of their career in COLLABORATION with their MANAGER. The goal is ALIGNMENT and INTEGRATION of the skills, talents, motivators, values, professional and personal GOALS with the business needs of the organization.
